Painting Tips and Décor Ideas

Use bright and dark colours sparingly

Have you ever absolutely loved a paint colour, but realised that it’s just too much for a whole wall? Well, here’s a way to have your cake and eat it too! Go ahead and use that wonderful colour on your walls. Ah, but do so sparingly! One way to do so is by painting it as a horizontal band across the middle of the wall. In fact, you could even create three bands in different thicknesses. Simply mark the thickness you want with painter’s tape, and voilà, you can proceed to paint that wonderful, deep orange or purple colour, you just had to have! Go ahead and unleash the Piet Mondrian in you.
